5.2.1. Statement of Impartiality

Avalon Certification is committed to impartiality in all aspects of the provision of certification. This commitment is confirmed by the Director, monitored by the Committee for impartiality and fed down to all other persons current or future working on behalf of or representing Avalon Certification.

Avalon Certification understands the need for impartiality and as such shall :

• Never knowingly enter into an agreement for the provision of certification where
  impartiality is threatened.

• Never knowingly enter into an agreement for the provision of certification
  without a formal declaration of impartiality.

• Never knowingly enter into an agreement for the provision of certification where
  self interest of any of those involved is evident.

• Never knowingly enter into an agreement for the provision of certification where
  any potential conflicts arise from within our own organisation or from the
  activities of other persons, bodies or organisations.
 
The certification Committee shall review impartiality at each Committee meeting.
